Chocolate Stuffed Dates

At a Moroccan wedding you get a glass of milk and a date. This is the super deluxe Toub version with chocolate!

Chocolate Stuffed Dates

Ingredients

  • 16 medjool dates
  • 100 g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 16 pecan nuts
  • Toppings of your choice: shredded coconut, cacao nibs, caramel paste, freeze-dried raspberries, toasted sesame seeds, crushed biscuit, dried rose petals, pistachio nuts

Instructions

  1. Cut the dates open and remove the pit.
  2. Fill each date with a pecan nut.
  3. Melt the chocolate au bain-marie.
  4. Dip the dates halfway into the chocolate.
  5. Place on parchment paper.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with your favorite toppings.
  7. Let set in the refrigerator.
